The Blue Jacket Bonanza Program was developed to provide high school students involved in the FFA a chance to earn their own blue jacket.  To be granted a jacket the students will be required to complete an application process which entails a written essay, a letter of reference, and evidence of community service.

Each County Farm Bureau chooses a Youth Ambassador to represent their county at various events during the year. The Ambassador is awarded at their respective County Annual Meeting.

Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and 21 at the time of application and be a Delaware Farm Bureau member or the child of a member with an active membership for more than one year with dues paid.

Book shelves shaped like barns are donated to Delaware Elementary Schools to increase ag-literacy in our youth. A set of books, including AFBF's "Book of the Year," are also donated with each Book Barn. 

Any educators interested in a Book Barn and set of books should contact DEFB at (302) 697-3183.

Students in 6th and 7th grade are encouraged to participate in the Ag in the Classroom Essay Contest! Students are challenged to write a 500 word essay based on a predetermined prompt.

The winning classroom teacher will receive a Staples gift card and top three students will all receive cash prizes.  Click here for more information!
