The Delaware Farm Bureau (DEFB) Internship Program gives students hands‑on experience in agricultural communications, member engagement, and community outreach. Interns work with farmers, assist with events, and help share the story of Delaware agriculture while building real‑world skills for their future careers. “Overall, the internship was an amazing experience. I got to know so many amazing people in the community and learn a lot about interacting with them in a professional/business manner. A few other things I participated in that were not listed about were; manning the water station at the milk run, working in the ag lab at the Brittingham farms lavender festival, folding and organizing T-shirts for the milk run, tractor pull, and farm bureau shirts. I also visited farm stands across the state to promote them on Facebook and to show them our appreciation to them.”
